Detectives in Stevenage are appealing for witnesses and information following a robbery which occurred on Sunday 15 March.
At around 2.15pm, the victim, a 25 year old local man, was on the path which crosses the King George V playground area, heading in the direction of Aldi, when it is reported that he was approached by two men.
One of the men threatened him with a knife and demanded his bag.
The second offender then grabbed the bag which contained a wallet and some cash and the two men made off towards the town centre.
The first suspect is described as having a mixed ethnic background and was wearing a scarf covering his face. He had short black hair and was wearing a black hoodie with a white t-shirt underneath and dark blue cargo trousers. He spoke with an accent.
The second man was described as a black man with braided hair. He was wearing a black hoodie and white trainers. Both men are believed to be aged between 18-20 years and were of medium build.
Investigating officer DC Peter Glover said: “This was a busy time of day so we are hoping that someone may have either seen the incident or the two men in the area at the time.”
